The honest deal

What you get — and what's expected.

What you get

  • Overnight stays at every Guild host site — free per night.
  • Instant access to the full host map and contact details.
  • New host sites added monthly.
  • Priority access before public listing.
  • A community of hosts who are genuinely pleased to see you arrive.

What's expected

This isn't a campsite. Your host is a winemaker, a farmer, a distiller — a real person who has opened their property to you.

The tradition of the club: support them. Buy a bottle, a jar, a dram. Say thank you. Leave the pitch as you found it.

Traveller guidelines

Staying with Watermill Club hosts means being welcomed onto private properties where people live, work, and create. These stays are simple by design — respectful, quiet, and rooted in genuine hospitality.

  • Watermill Club overnight stays are reserved for active members traveling in a self-sufficient campervan, motorhome, or similar setup.
  • Our hosts are offering a place to stop, not a full-service campsite.
  • Please arrive as a thoughtful guest, introduce yourself on arrival, and follow any instructions your host shares.
  • Respect agreed arrival windows and avoid late arrivals whenever possible.
  • Hosts may occasionally be unavailable due to work, weather, or unexpected changes — please understand if plans need to shift.
  • There is no obligation to buy anything, but supporting your host with a bottle, produce, or local goods is a meaningful way to say thank you.
  • Keep noise low, leave no trace, and treat the property with care.
  • Ask before using water, electricity, toilets, bins, or any other facilities.
  • Do not assume every host offers the same amenities.
  • Respect animals, work areas, equipment, and the privacy of the people welcoming you.
  • When you leave, do so courteously and let your host know you are departing.

A good stay is simple: arrive kindly, leave gently, and enjoy the privilege of being hosted.
